Natural Remedies For Acne - Which Ones Should You Try Out?

Let us talk about the natural remedies for acne.

Did you know that 80% of people with ages ranging from fifteen and fifty all suffer from some form of acne? This number might sound shocking to you, but please consider how many folks have chosen an unhealthy lifestyle (just look at America). Now acne has become so common and accepted that it is being seen as a phase when going through puberty. Well, that would be true if it weren't for my first sentence. As I already mentioned, people who are 50 years old are also suffering from this skin disease, so there must be much more to acne than most people realize.

Let's first discuss what acne is. By knowing your enemy you are halfway there to victory. Acne is a very common skin disease that affects people with the densest population of sebaceous follicles. Usually, it appears on the back, face, buttocks and upper part of the chest.

That is a very brief definition, but you did not come here to read Wikipedia. Let's discuss which natural remedies will work against acne.

1) Be on a diet - eating healthy doesn't necessarily mean that you are overweight. When you are "poisoning" your body, it's often the skin that first feels the impact. Try to eat more fruits and veggies, and make sure that it isn't some crap from the grocery that is polluted with chemicals. Make friends with farmers who will sell you fresh fruits and vegetables for cheap.

Eliminate sugar containing foods, because it increases the fat, which on its hand gets secreted by the sebaceous glands that are later on infected by acne bacteria.

2) Supplements and Vitamins - consuming vitamins and supplements is also a great way to keep your skin healthy and protected. Although you need to use them under you doctor's supervision, because even the "good stuff" can lead to complications.

Retinoids - derivatives of Vitamin A - are great for treating different kind of disorders. Usually, prescribed both orally and topically.

Zinc - is also considered to be a good way for treating acne, although the benefits aren't completely clear.

Vitamin B - National Institute of Health states that skin inflammation is caused by a B6 deficiency.

Vitamin C & E - according to dermatologists, these vitamins help to keep the skin protected.

As you can see, there isn't much to knowing about how to treat acne at home. But let me please be clear: before doing anything, please consult your doctor.
